  • English Knight & Horse in Full Body Armor
    $39.95

In movies the magnificent castles and estate house in England frequently have a suit of armor on display. It's understandable why this would happen. First, the cost of the body armor was around the cost of a car today. So, you had to be rich to be able to afford the custom armor for the knight and the horse. Second, the people who were knights were landowners and they were rich.

If you paid that much for your body armor, wouldn't you keep it? Even generations later - you're relatives have kept your armor. Must be proud of you! At least that's a point of view I have.

This English knight statue is made of pewter. It is a relatively small statue, but the detail it has it pretty amazing. Take time and look closely. Quite well done.

  • Knights Templar - medieval knight on horse
    $49.95

After Christian forces conquered Jerusalem in 1099, Europeans began making pilgrimages to the Holy Lands by the droves. On the way, they were often attacked. To protect travelers and defend Christian states in the Middle East, a small group of fighters formed what became known as Knights Templar.

This statue features one of the medieval knights. Dressed in full regalia of one of the Knights Templar, it brings this historical figure to life. The Knights Templar began over 1,000, yes, one thousand, years ago. Statue is made of resin, then handpainted.

  • Knight - French Crusader
    $49.95

The word ‘Crusades’, wasn’t used in the beginning, in 1095. Sanctioned by the church, the Crusades were simply military expeditions. They became known as the Crusades later - from the French word croisade, which essentially means ‘marked with the cross’.

Pope Urban II spent much of the summer of 1095 convening ecclesiastical councils in France. Urban is considered to be the organizer of the First Crusade. The French were the largest contingent.

This statue shows a French Crusader. Note his attire. He's wearing a skirt which we haven't seen on the other knights. His body is covered in armor...but the armor looks much different. Remember each set of armor was made specifically for that knight. It was custom made and could cost as much as a car costs today. Statue is made of resin and has been hand painted.

  • French Knight and Horse - beautiful armor

Most Medieval knights honored these vows:

    • Fear God and His Church
    • Serve the Lord in valour and faith
    • Protect the weak and defenseless
    • Live by honour and for glory
    • Respect the honour of women

Vows that would help our world today - if honored. It's interesting how hundreds of years later, the medieval knight is still respected.

This knight statue features a French Knight and his horse. They are wearing beautiful armor.

  • German Knight Statue - in full armor
    $39.95

German knights were members of the Teutonic Order.

The medieval knights in various regions all had the ability to sustain commercial avenues, while conducting military campaigns. The cost of warfare needed economic backing. Many of the Teutonic knights became astute businessmen who often became experts in trading commodities like wheat, hides, and wool. Over time they played a vital role in long-distance trade routes that stretched from Europe to the Middle East.

German Knight Statue has a pewter finish. Notice that this knight has an open face. Most knights covered their faces. The lattice design is unusual. A really good designer created the protection for both the horse and the man. Each was custom made.

  • Crusader and Horse in Protective Gear - embellished with the Cross
    $49.95

The Crusades were a series of wars which took place between 1095 - 1295. At that time, Jerusalem and Holy Land were controlled by Muslims. Jerusalem was considered as a significant site for various religions - the site where Muhammad rose to heaven for Muslims - where Jesus Christ was crucified.

This Crusader statue depicts this historical moment in time. The soldier is covered in armor that was custom made for his body. He is carrying a shield with the symbol used by the Crusaders and holding a spear high. Can you imagine breathing inside that facial gear?
