Check out all the armour! This German knight is covered in armour as is his horse.

Let's first look at the horse. His face is covered with armour. Note the golden "horn" that protrudes. His mane is covered. His breast and the side of the horse also has armour. Must be heavy!

Next, let's look at the crusader. How can he see with the helmet so low? He also must have a lot of weight on his back! Can you imagine fitting all of this armour on the crusader and his horse.

One famous German medieval knight was Heinrich Von Bulow. He rose to significant fame during the 14th century. He belonged to the German nobility and was notably known for his archetypal role as the robber baron.
