Bichon Frise is known as a "personality dog"'. The Bichon has charm, beauty, and intelligence.  The pure white hypoallergenic coat allows those allergic to dogs to own a dog. A Bichon! Alert and curious, Bichons make nice little watchdogs but they are lovers, not fighters, and operate under the assumption that there are no strangers.

With a happy-go-lucky attitude Boston Terriers are cheerful dogs. Their origin is traced to Boston, thus, it's name. Boston Terriers are inside dogs that love affection and are easy to care for. First, some fun, General George Patton owned a Bull Terrier named Willie. The dog had belonged to a fallen RAF pilot, and Patton bought him in England in 1944. When it got into a fight with Dwight D. Eisenhower's dog, Patton apologized, saying that Willie was outranked and would be confined to quarters.

The bull terrier shown on our site resembles the dog in the Target ads....a white dog with a black eye patch. It is the official mascot of Target. Our dog statue is made of resin and has been hand painted to achieve the likeness of the real dog. If you want to personalize, you can purchase a dog collar locally and put it on the statue.

During World War II, the British referred to the Bulldog as “The Churchill Dog.” Prime Minister Winston Churchill and the English Bulldog both symbolized the courage and strength of England. The bulldog got this title even though Churchill didn’t own a Bulldog. He owned Poodles.

DNA studies suggest that Native American dogs entered North America from Siberia roughly 10,000 years ago. The Spanish spelling is Chihuahueño. It s considered a Mexican breed of dog and is named for the Mexican state of Chihuahua. It is the smallest dog breed registered with AKC.

The Chocolate Lab was not a distinct breed of dog until the 20th Century. They have a thick water resistant coat that protects them from harsh winters and also keeps their fur dry in the rains. They are usually excellent swimmers.

There are two Cocker Spaniel breeds - the English and the American. Their origin dates back to the 13th Century. Today, both are recognized as AKC breeds with the English considered to be more "sporting."

Honeycomb was the name of our honey colored cocker spaniel we had when I was a child. Definitely a family dog loved by us all.
