There is a mirror polished piece of metal in the back so that all the details of the rigging and mast can be seen.The ship is cutting through the waves of the ocean, which are represented by detailed cuts in the fine crystal base. There is room for a 5" plaque. If not sure where to put the plaque, you can request in Talk to Us that it be included in shipment, but NOT adhered.

Sailboat Award FREE TEXT The sails are made from clear crystal. The sails can be etched for personalization. Area available is 1-1/2 x 2-1/2 inch. The boat is silver in color and the sailboat rides on a blue "wave". The base can also be personalized. Imprint area on base is 4-1/2 x 3/4 inch.
