Knights Templar - medieval knight on horse

After Christian forces conquered Jerusalem in 1099, Europeans began making pilgrimages to the Holy Lands by the droves. On the way, they were often attacked. To protect travelers and defend Christian states in the Middle East, a small group of fighters formed what became known as Knights Templar.

This statue features one of the medieval knights. Dressed in full regalia of one of the Knights Templar, it brings this historical figure to life. The Knights Templar began over 1,000, yes, one thousand, years ago. Statue is made of resin, then handpainted.
