A portion of the Crusaders - the knights with their armor - were Gothic. It is thought that the Gothic probably came from Scandinavia. Archaeologists have discovered a Gothic hall at a medieval Crusader fortress in today's northern Israel. The ceremonial hall found in Galilee's Montfort Castle offers a fascinating glimpse into the turbulent Crusader era in the Holy Land, which began in the 11th century and lasted until the 13th century.

Gothic architecture in Europe and Great Britain grew out the Crusades. The rounded arches in churches soon evolved to the strong arch and Gothic style was born. One of the famous structures using Gothic architecture is the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

The knight in this statue is a Gothic Knight. Note that even the Knights worked as a group, their attire changed based upon their heritage. All of the protective covering on the knight and his horse is different than the knights of other areas of Europe. The statue is made of resin and has been hand painted.
