A Glorious Sunset

When you're lucky enough to see a sunset as colorful as this one...you want to take a photo...to remember forever. That's exactly what our photographer did and this is the result...a memory one keeps forever.

The bird in the foreground is a Great Egret. The photo is large and measures 20" long and 16 " high.

Why red? At sunset, when the sunlight travels a long path through the atmosphere to reach our eyes, the blue light has been mostly removed, leaving mostly red and yellow light.
