Laying on a log should be a restful scene; however, with its mouth wide open this Alligator counteracts that notion. Count his teeth! Alligators have great force with their mouth. In fact, the photographer who took this photo had EVERY bone in his foot broken by a baby alligator. Not good.

Alligator jaws can exert up to 1,000 pounds of pressure. Alligators use up to 3,000 teeth in their lifetime since they can replace lost teeth. Florida has over one million alligators!
