Details

Trail of Painted Ponies organization originated highlighting Indian art from various tribes. Tewa is the inspiration of a Pueblo Indian artist, Tom Papia. It features geometric and animal designs that have been on Cochiti pottery for centuries. A long tradition before Tewa. Let's look closer at Tewa. The sash represents good faith and fortune. The blanket conveys the message that the horse is bold and strong. The eagle represents good luck. Finally, notice the handprint which stands for the loving touch of all. A powerful message from the Tesuque tribe is depicted on this special ornament. Tewa. If you give Tewa as a gift, make certain the recipient understands the powerful message that comes with it. Tewa was manufactured by Westland Giftware in 2006. It retired in January 2009, just after Christmas. It has been boxed in a storage unit for years and has never been open. Box is maroon in color and has all of its stickers.
