This Indian is dressed with all of the trimmings! It is a Marnisha Native American. Beginning at the top, his headdress of feathers is spectacular. His left hand holds a spear that is taller than he is. His attire is made to look like animal skins, even some shag of a buffalo. Looks like this Native American is an important Indian in his tribe.
The statue is made of resin and has been hand painted. So much detail. Isn't it great?
It is believed that the Sioux Indians created the traditional feathered headdress. Only worn by the most brave and powerful. The Sioux concept spread through many of the Plains tribes. Each headdress is personal...customized for that person in that tribe. A wonderful part of Native American history.
