In the ocean dolphins range from 5 to 32 feet in length dependent upon which species and location. A dolphin has been know to jump 30 feet! When swimming, when a dolphin jumps out of the water, it goes faster than when it is in the water - due to the resistance of the water.

These crystal dolphins are jumping - thus, looking for speed.
