The Pug with its wrinkly, short-muzzled face, and curled tail is from China. Pugs were brought from China to Europe in the sixteenth century. In UK Queen Victoria loved her pugs, a passion that extended to her Royals.
Pugs make great companion dogs. They are even-tempered, sociable and gentle. Perhaps, they have a face that only a pug owner could love!
Our pug is made of resin and has been hand painted. It looks just like a pug should look. The facial expression seems to say "OK?"
The BIG animal statues are made of resin and hand painted. They are hollow. If you are looking for a statue that was designed for outdoors – this isn’t it. We have an iron bull and an iron moose, that are outdoor animals. You could take the BIG animal outside for a few hours, don’t put in the sun, and make sure weather is good. One lady, recently widowed, bought a Howling Wolf and put the wolf on her inside porch. It makes her feel safer. But, it’s inside, not sitting on the outside porch steps. These are fabulous animal statues….many are being discontinued because of rising costs. If you like one of these BIG statues, buy it and find a pleasant place for it to inhabit. An Amazon warehouse bought our BIG lion (now discontinued) for their lobby and had a mural painted for its “home” setting. Enjoy!
